Our origin

Global Pension Corporation (‘GPC’) combines over 25 years of market intelligence combining STM Group products and solutions and the pensions experience of industry-veteran Edmund Truell’s PSF Capital team.

Truell has an extensive track record in the pensions and financial services industries having founded and led, amongst others, the Pension Insurance Corporation which now manages over £50bn in assets. He also set up the Pension SuperFund designed to consolidate the UKs private sector pension schemes. He chaired the London Pension Fund Authority where he played a pivotal role in pioneering pension fund mergers and driving long-term investment and infrastructure.

PSF Capital Reserve LP (‘PSF’) is a pensions-focused investment fund led by Edmund Truell. PSF provides the capital strength and stability that now underpins GPC’s operations. Truell’s multi-decade investment approach has consistently delivered strong returns across the pensions and financial services sectors, reinforcing GPC’s position as a well-funded and strategically-backed entity.

Truell has used Jambo SRC Limited to purchase STM Group PLC in 2024 which has evolved to become GPC. The GPC global family now comprises a number of different businesses each helping in their own way to improve the financial well-being of their customers and their advisers. The STM Group acquisition extended to all subsidiaries, and has provided enhanced expertise and improved product service potential, whilst allowing GPC to set new standards in the life insurance and pension industry.

Talent and expertise from across the industry have combined with the immediate expansion of significant new hires to the executive team, including the appointment of Group CEO, Ken Hogg. Ken’s successful career in both growing and leading life insurance and pensions companies demonstrates our commitment to redefining the future of pensions. Ken’s strong track record of success will help ensure that GPC listens to what advisers need, and prioritises the interests of all customers.
