Executive team
Ken Hogg
Chief Executive Officer, GPC
Ken Hogg is Group Chief Executive Officer of Global Pension Corporation.
An actuary, Ken has held numerous executive positions in the UK life insurance and reinsurance industry, including roles with Aegon, AIG and RGA. Most recently he was Ken was CEO of Chesnara’s UK division.
Ken was previously the director of insurance at the UK’s Financial Services Authority.
Ken was non-executive chair of STM Group’s Gibraltar entities.
James Moorehead
Managing Director, London & Colonial Assurance PCC Plc (‘LCA’) and Interim Managing Director GPC Malta
James Moorehead became Managing Director for LCA in November 2024, and Interim Managing Director for GPC Malta in May 2025. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC before gaining experience in insurance management, fund administration, distribution, and SaaS businesses.
James joined LCA and the Gibraltar entities in August 2022, initially as Head of Finance. In addition to his role as Managing Director, he is Chief Operating Officer for the Gibraltar operation, with both Operations and Finance reporting to him. He serves as a Director of LCA and the other four Gibraltar entities within the Group.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland and enjoys playing padel tennis when work and family commitments permit.
Richard Prior
Managing Director GPC Premier SSAS
As a director of GPC Premier SSAS Ltd, Richard oversees all operational and financial aspects of the business. He has over 35 years’ of experience working in the pensions industry and has performed a wide range of senior technical, operational and outsource management roles within large financial organisations, such as AMP, Legal & General, JLT and Mercer. Richard is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and embedding a customer orientated culture, believing that everything we do as a business should be built around developing a clear understanding of what advisers and their clients require and ensuring that every interaction or transaction is made as quick and simple as possible for them.
Andrew Lloyd
Chief Financial Officer, GPC
Andrew brings over 25 years of experience across insurance, pensions and banking, with a focus on financial strategy and risk management, debt and capital structuring and deal execution. Andrew works closely with the team at GPC to shape the group’s financial strategy and management and support business growth across all business areas.
Prior to joining GPC, Andrew held leadership roles in investment and corporate banking at Royal Bank of Canada, Barclays and National Australia Bank, managing insurance and funds relationships, advising CFOs and Group Treasurers on debt and treasury solutions and managing internal risk and approval processes. Earlier in his career, after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at EY, he worked in the Finance team at AXA XL, spent time structuring longevity risk solutions at Pension Insurance Corporation and was part of the credit research and analysis team at RBS.
A Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and Cambridge graduate (Chemical Engineering), Andrew has a strong track record of leading teams, delivering strategic projects and driving growth in fast-paced, regulated environments.
Kevin Samborn
Chief Technology Officer, GPC
Kevin joined GPC in 2025 and is responsible for group technology. He has over 30 years of experience in technology leadership.
Previously, he was COO/CTO at Rosia PCC, a startup life insurer, and CTO at Brightwell (formerly BT Pension Scheme Management) from 2019 to 2024. Kevin was also founder of Revolution Financial Technology and held leadership roles at Sapient Global Markets and Numerix, specialising in valuation, risk analytics, and pricing software.
David Hitchcock OBE
Senior Advisor, GPC
David has spent 33 years in Financial Services including 21 years at Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan where he was a Managing Director and Head of EMEA Investor Client Management. Since then he has held a number of Executive and Non-Executive Directorships in a variety of Public, Private and Not for Profit companies. Before joining the Financial Services industry David served as a Captain in the Brigade of Gurkhas. He is a Graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and Pembroke College, Cambridge where he was a History Exhibitioner and Boxing Blue.
Abina Philip
Head of Group Risk, GPC
Abina is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, specialising in audit, risk management, and corporate governance. She trained with one of the Big4s, where she developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and assurance services for a wide range of insurance and reinsurance clients. Following her time in external and internal audit, Abina transitioned into risk management during her time at Global Pension Corporation, bringing a proactive and strategic approach to enterprise risk and control frameworks. She holds a Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management from IRM, further enhancing her expertise in embedding risk-conscious cultures and supporting sound decision-making across organisations.
Currently acting as the Head of Governance in Global Pension Corporation, Abina leads the development and oversight of governance structures and frameworks, supporting board and executive functions, regulatory engagement, and policy adherence. She plays a key role in ensuring that governance processes are aligned with best practices, regulatory expectations, and the company’s strategic objectives.
Abina is passionate about strengthening governance and fostering transparency, accountability, and resilience across the organisation.
Bill Scott
Head of HR, GPC
Bill Scott is the Group Head of Human Resources of Global Pension Corporation. Bill has MSc in Human Resources Management, a bachelor’s degree in economics and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Bill joined Global Pension Corporation (formerly STM Group) in April 2019. Having spent the early part of his career in internal consulting and strategic planning, Bill moved into the HR arena and has spent 30 years in commercially orientated HR roles. Bill has Board level experience having held HR Director roles with both a UK and an international remit, predominately within the financial services and professional services industries.
Outside of family commitments, Bill is a regular at his local gym, enjoys most sports, and enjoys cooking, particularly in his ‘outdoor kitchen’.

Anthony Lowes
Business Development and Product Specialist
Anthony established his own law firm in South Africa before relocating in 2002 to Jersey (Channel Islands) to further his legal career. There, he gained extensive experience in the trust legal field, including second-chairing the Crown prosecutor in the Royal Court of Jersey.
After obtaining STEP and other relevant qualifications, he moved into Fiduciary Services and became Private Client Director at an international fiduciary firm, managing a large portfolio.
In 2010, Anthony moved to Gibraltar and has since worked extensively on the practical and technical aspects of tax-efficient structures for international pensions and bonds. His legal training informs his expertise in estate planning solutions, including the flexible annuities from LCA.
Craig McLauchlan
Business Development and Product Specialist
Craig develops relationships with professional connections in Scotland and the North West of England, with a focus on international pensions, intergenerational planning, and cross-border issues.
He began his career with Bank of Scotland and is a Chartered Banker with over 30 years of experience in Financial Services and Tax sectors. He has worked with large organisations including Scottish Life (now Royal London), Scot Provident International (now IFGL Pensions), and TMF Group.
Craig enjoys the challenge of building new and existing relationships and delivering technical solutions that translate into real-life client benefits, with an emphasis on transparent fees and quality service.
Craig is known for his belief that business is built on strong personal relationships – and on just picking up the phone. If he weren’t in financial services, Craig says he’d love to be a Sommelier in Saint-Emilion.
Paul Atwell
Business Development and Product Specialist
Paul is a very experienced, highly motivated senior financial consultant/business development manager, who has enjoyed thirty-five years of continued success in this field. His excellent communication and organisational skills have enabled him to build and maintain IFA relationships which have resulted in achieving and exceeding sales targets. Paul is a reliable, conscientious, professional negotiator and team player who delivers results.
